"As we paddled away from the port, thunder boomed a farewell. After the rain stopped, a magnificent rainbow crossed the southern sky, illuminating the sea and the surrounding islands."
"As we paddled from island to island in the archipelago, I marveled at the landscape unfolding before me. I could almost hear the silence as the sun set on the Pacific Ocean.”
Doug's Choice " I would spend a week sailing up the coast from São Paulo to Rio.
Then I'd fly into the Amazon and stay in the new village-run Uakari Floating Lodge, located within the Mamiraua Reserve. There you can spot jaguars, manatees and monkeys.
Afterward, I might spend a few days on the beach in Buzios or Fernando de Noronha."
Carol's Choice If I could go anywhere right now, I would return to Costa Rica. I love its beaches, hot springs, wildlife and canopy tours. The food is wonderful, especially the fresh seafood.
I’d probably visit Manuel Antonio, Arenal and Monteverde, spending plenty of time relaxing with my family. Costa Rica is a great destination for all ages.
Brett's Choice "I would head directly to northeastern Brazil for some quality beach time. Some of the best beaches in Brazil are up north. It would begin in Natal with visits to Pipa, Genipabu, and Canoa Quebrada.
From there I would go south to Joao Pessoa, one of Brazil's best kept secrets. Cabo Branco, Tambau, Jacuma, and Praia do Sol head up the list here.
My final stop would be Porto de Galinhas, which is located 1-hour south of Recife. Some say it is the best beach in Brazil."
